‘Actions speak louder than words’ – we first need to understand the true meaning of this statement. It means that actions are important than some mere words. Words do not really matter if they are not being followed. This has relevance in today’s scenario. No matter how many commitments and promises a person makes, if he does not really turn it into his actions than there is no weightage of his promises and commitments. Actions speak a lot about a person’s personality too. We judge people by their actions after all. Just using mere words won’t make you a trustable person when you work the way you speak makes you a trustable person.
That is way you build trust amongst each other. People unnecessarily use boastful and beautiful words which may not be the reality of their work. Our actions should reflect our word. What we do describes us actually. Hence, we should just keep speaking about our work. We need to do it to let everyone see it.
We can take one experience for instance is that every year during the elections, we get to hear a lot of promises from the politicians but when they are elected, we notice that they do not really implement the promises. We go on complaining about this the whole year. We often see people taking New Year resolutions. Even some of us have done the same but we need to question ourselves if we have followed and made those resolutions into reality. We can understand the proverb accurately by this example. But if one really wants success in life than one has to act. No one can climb the mount Everest just by talking about it. One needs to make efforts to achieve anything and everything in life. People whose actions speak louder than the words are often the most trustworthy people.
Most of us forget that speaking about our own achievements is somewhere very pointless and futile. If our achievements are huge and important enough, then we do not have to boast about them at all. People themselves are going to notice and talk about our achievements if they are really massive and important. We just need to keep doing our thing. We generally have a habit of letting everyone know about our goals. We generally discuss more about our achievements rather than working for them. But the real question is that can discussions lead to achievement of our goals? We will have to work for it anyway right. This is a common story of many people.

Some people just keep on discussing about their goals but they do not really work hard for that and hence, they fail to achieve their goal. Whenever the Indian Cricket team does bad, we all feel sad about it and some of us even curse the players who had promised us the trophy.
That is why words are weaker than actions. If we want success then we will just have to concentrate on our goals and keep working hard for that. Just speaking about our goals will never help. Moreover, when your actions are louder than your words, you will yourself feel good about your personality and achievements. Even people will tend to like you more because of this. Your actions will define you and attract the people around you. Actions make people feel that something is alive in you. That is the reason why successful people have more friends and people tend to like them more.
