Short Essay On A Visit To A Hill Station

In this essay we are going to talk about A visit to a hill station. Every one of us at some point in our life has dreamed of visiting a hill station, except for people who don’t know what it is and the people who actually live there. Hill stations are places blessed with spectacular views of mountains and forest plateaus by nature. To be honest I have always envied people who live at hill stations because since I was born I had only seen the chaos and pollution of a city and never really got to enjoy the beauty of nature.

The only time I would ever get to see a hill station was on television. But it was all about to change the day my dad came back from the office and told everyone in our family that he has decided that we all will be going on a trip this winter vacation to Shimla. As soon as I heard this news I was super excited as my dream was about to come true, something I had only fantasized and thought of as a dream was about to come true and I could not believe it.

And I wasn’t the only one who was experiencing this euphoria; everyone in my family from my younger brother to my mom was very excited about this trip. This was the first time that we were going out of our state on a family trip so it was a very special moment for all of us.

My mom and my younger brother started their packing and preparations for the trip about a week in advance as they wanted to make sure that they don’t leave anything important and I was busy thinking about the various things I want to do there like eating the local food, meeting local people and also i was thinking about the spectacular view i was about to witness something that i only saw on television. There was a direct train to Shimla from our home town. We completed our packing, kept all our warm clothes and went to the station to get on the train.

The train journey was itself very amusing. We had very funny and entertaining co-passengers who were also a family visiting Shimla on their winter vacation. On the train journey we saw many other hill stations and outskirts of many cities. It felt very amazing to see huge mountains and forests pass by. It feels really awesome. Finally after almost one day of train ride we reached our destination and as soon as we stepped out of the train i could sense the clean air and the magic of nature in Shimla.

We checked in our hotel and freshened up and went to sleep because it was already night so we decided that we will start our trip the next day. The next day in the morning i was the first one to wake up as I was the one who was the most excited and I was surprised to see the dazzling view the mountains of Shimla it was so surreal that I was lost and was continuously staring at it for about almost half hour till my dad woke up and told me to quickly take a bath as we have to go and visit the Jakhoo hill and temple first thing in the morning.

So I went and took a bath and then we went to visit the temple and take blessings. After that we went to visit the green valley which was so amazing i was the a valley full of trees there was nothing else color visible there except for the green and you could feel this even in the air the fresh oxygen in the ambience made it much more pleasurable to watch the amazing view of the green valley.

After this we went to a restaurant to get our breakfast where we got amazing food which was very delicious.

After breakfast we went to Karyali lake. It was very disappointing to see some tourists throwing plastic bottles into the lake and causing pollution. It is a very big problem that is faced by places which are naturally blessed. Many tourists come and cause a lot of pollution causing a lot of damage to a natural heritage. We should all be responsible and never damage the natural heritages.
