Short Essay On Daily Routine

In this essay we are going to talk about the Daily Routine. Daily routine is where one follows his/her daily activities, tasks, and every other thing, on a consistent basis. In other words, whatever the person does, be it a task, an activity, thoughts or even feelings; as long as it is carried out on a regular and continual basis, it is regarded as a daily routine. Given what daily routine is in a nutshell, it is nothing mandatory and neither is it a crime if one doesn’t have a routine to follow.

Short Essay On Daily Routine

The choice of having a routine is completely up to the individual and at the same time, it differs from person to person. Of course, yes, it is consistent and regular when viewed through the general perspective, but it necessarily does not mean that everyone must follow the same thing in the same order. Let us understand this better with the aid of an example. For instance, some people prefer having breakfast, or rather they are habituated to having breakfast early in the morning, while some prefer to have it a little later or some simply don’t have breakfast at all. There is nothing wrong with any of the three choices because it is something that they are used to, and it has become consistent enough to be a part of their daily routine.

So, although the factor of having breakfast is common among all the three categories, their choices of the time that they prefer to have it and if they wish to have it varies. Given their habits, if each individual is questioned on their choices, their answer will clearly convey that their choices are nothing new to them and they are used to it. So, basically, this is how the routine works in an individual’s everyday life; although there may some common factors, the methodologies that they adhere to and the timings that they execute such activities in are mostly different.

Additionally, what activities are there in one’s schedule to be followed as a daily routine is also different and does not necessarily have to be the same for all. Some may have a lot of things to do, while others may have a few. It basically depends upon the person and what the person does. Let us look through this by taking a few examples. For example, the daily routine of a working woman is entirely different from that of a housewife.

Essay On Daily Routine

For a working woman, she needs to wake up early in the morning to get ready for work. She spends nearly 8 hours at her workplace. Once she is back home, she needs to look into all the other works that are to be carried out at home, such as cleaning the house, cooking for herself, looking after her family (if she is living with a family) and a lot more relating to her personal life. The housewife, on the other hand, has an entirely different schedule, rather her schedule is not as tightly packed as that of a working woman.

She will have a busy time in the morning since she will have to cook for her husband, send him to office, if she has kids, she needs to get them ready and send them to school and after that, she can carry out the rest of the work such as organizing things, cleaning the house, at her own pace, since she will not have anyone around it the house. Yes, of course if she has her in laws living under the same roof, then she will have a slightly busier schedule, since it is her responsibility to take care of them and look after their needs, otherwise, things are comparatively at ease since she is not working.

Therefore, from these two examples, it is clear that although both women in both scenarios have their respective routine to follow, the intensities of how busy they are throughout their day differ in most aspects. Even though having a regular schedule can sometimes get boring, giving us a call for a break, practicing, or implementing what is scheduled as per our routine has a lot of benefits which not just enhance our lives but also brings about a healthy vibe to move on in our day-to-day lives. In fact, having a proper and standardized routine can help one in making great strides towards striking the balance. Time For a Peaceful Sleep!

Did you know that having a proper and standardized routine can have a direct impact on your sleep cycle? Looks puzzling right? Let us consider a scenario to understand this better. You have set up a schedule which you will implement everyday to make it a part of your daily routine. For instance, your wake-up time in the morning is 6:30am and you need to be at work by 8:30am so you are back home by 4:30pm in the evening after a period of 8 hours at your workplace.

You get back home and complete all other pending tasks at home and make sure that you complete all of them on time, so that you can go to bed early and get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. When you follow this on a regular basis, you get used to this sleep cycle and everyday when you wake up in the morning, you are free from stress, and you would hardly get any feeling of not having enough sleep. Additionally, when you have had a good night’s sleep, it directly impacts on the rest of your day. In other words, your day will be smooth, and you will feel active throughout the day! So, to get that quality amount of sleep, maintaining a daily routine is important.

Healthy Eating, Happy Face

Always ensure that you have all your meals on time. Be it breakfast, lunch or even dinner. Make sure you don’t over delay your mealtimes. It is not just seen as an unhealthy practice but can lead to a lot of health issues like indigestion, food poisoning, bloating etc. Experts say that one should never skip breakfast no matter what. The reason is simple. You spend 8 hours sleeping at night without eating or drinking anything and this is something that is equivalent to fasting for 8 hours since there is no consumption of food or water for such a long duration of time. So again, when you delay or skip your breakfast in the morning, you are inviting danger towards yourself.

Delayed or skipped breakfasts are known to cause conditions like acidity, thereby leading to ulcer formation in the stomach. It can also bring about gastric issues which bring about a lot of discomfort and affects our day-to-day activities. Imagine having an upset or burning stomach in the midst of your work or studies. Sounds really very uncomfortable right? So why take the trouble?! There’s no need to face such kind of trouble if you eat healthy and if you eat on time.

Yes, of course, for people who are not used to having breakfast at all or those who are used to having their breakfast late might find this a little hard, since their body will take some time to adopt to early breakfast, but the advantageous factor that has to be seen here is that it doesn’t have any sort of negative effects. So why let go of an opportunity like this! If not a lot, at least try to eat something even if it is little on time either as breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Healthy eating equals a happy lifestyle!
