In this essay we are going to talk about the Importance Of Hard Work. Hard work is the real gain in our life. We all need hard work to achieve something or our goals and dreams. One of the most valuable personality trait we can have which will help us the most to get closer towards our aims, goals, success is hard work. Though many people think that hard work is not required everywhere so working hard is not so important but in reality the importance of hard work is huge. The importance of hard work is the dominant factor in our life depending on which our career and future will be decided.
Short Essay On Importance Of Hard Work
Everyone believes that the key, lead or solution to success. Our elders also have always taught us that keep working hard and only then you will get the fruit of it.
Without hard work getting success is not possible. Be it any work done by the individual’s needs hard work. They can be anyone like cobblers, shopkeepers, peddlers, tailors, etc. Not just famous personalities but even everyday workers knows the importance of hard work, they know that if they don’t put effort and hard work they will not be able to earn any money and won’t get anything in their life. I have also seen such people who have lost their business or could not keep or maintain their grandparents or parents business just because they were lazy and did not knew the importance of hard work. Like, our neighbour known as Mullick family had a big business.
The person who was the owner of the business was very hard working and was able to maintain a successful business. But after he became old he gave the responsibility to his sons but his sons were very lazy and slowly the business started getting down, they started facing a lot of loss, creditors started coming a lot and seeing that the owner was not able to take it and died of heart attack and the business also got closed permanently. We get to learn the lesson of importance of hard work through this incident.
I did not knew that the importance of hard work is so huge that it can also quiver and shook-up anyone’s life. But this one incident proved the importance of hard work and also shook-up our life. After this incident we could not sleep for many days. This had the most effect on my uncle and we had to take him to psychiatric. Even, today when uncle remembers that incident his eyes gets teary.
The people whom I am talking about are my uncle’s cousin named Raju and uncle named Prabhat Ghosh. We used to call my uncle’s uncle as Ghosh Grandpa as he was my grandpa in relation. They had a big jewellery shop. But earlier Ghosh grandpa, Raju uncle’s father was very poor and he understood the importance of hard work. He knew that without hard work he cannot achieve anything in life so after working very hard everyday and saving money from his day-to-day work was finally able to open the jewellery shop. Only due to his hard work the business saw a lot of profit. Ghosh grandpa always used to say that hard work had a lot of importance and he like his own son grew the business, the jewellery shop and got attached to it a lot.

But as he grew older his son Raju took the responsibility of the shop. Ghosh grandpa knew that Raju did not knew the importance of hard work but as time passed by he had no other choice but to give the responsibility of the shop on him. Raju did not knew the importance of hard work because he got everything without doing much work, even the business was not his but his father and he did not had to work hard like his father to set up the shop and make it work.
Slowly slowly, the shop started facing loss and one day they had to close down the shop and Ghosh grandpa was not able to take it and started getting weak and became sick. One such day came that they all chose the path of suicide because they had no other ways, solutions nothing. Their back was blocked and there was no one who could be their support, can have their back.
Still today I remember that day was Wednesday. Suddenly, we got that horrible and terrifying news. We all hurried to go to Ghosh grandpa’s home. My uncle after seeing the scene fainted. Ghosh grandpa and uncle Raju left a letter where they said that they made a mistake by not working hard as Ghosh grandpa always used to say that the importance of hard work is huge but by the time uncle Raju understood this it was too late.
They wrote one more thing that is no one else should make the same mistake they did. In our life hard work has a lot of importance no matter what their occupation, profession or job is, they are mere daily workers or work in an office or has a business they should not take it for granted. Through this incident I got a life lesson and will always remember it throughout my life about the importance of hard work.
Those who have understood the importance of hard work has gained success in life, was able to focus on their aim and move towards it. Like Akshay Kumar, our first prime minister late Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru, Shah Rukh Khan, Colonel Sander. Through all these incidents and through the life of these famous personalities the importance of hard work is prominent and proved. Our elders have told us an idiom that “ keep trying again and again if you can’t succeed at once.” In this idiom also the importance of hard work is hidden. People who understand this they become successful in their life and those who took this casually have not been able to reach and achieve their goals and become successful in their life.
Everyone needs to understand the importance of hard work. When we go through ups and downs in our life and face harsh hardships then hard work only helps them to make a comeback and turn all the negative and bad things into a positive and good things. Hard work will make them more determined and focus on work as when they will word hard they won’t get time to focus on other things and hence, their work will become more perfect, defined and they will be able to finish their work on time as well.
Hard work will help them to overcome any obstacles or problems they might face on their life be it educational or personal life problems. We understand the value and importance of hard work, while working hard on what we believe. We begin to respect the work itself, to build some good qualities along the way and secondly hard work helps us to build discipline. It is not very difficult or unenjoyable instead working hard can be something exhilarating and enjoyable which gives a feeling of wonderfully rewarding.
Planning of goals made priorities to become successful in life of a successful person, hard work is the gateway to success. It has no parallel in human life. It always pays and never goes unrewarded or in vain. To achieve success, the struggle of mind and body to work hard is very much needed. Hard work needs the right attitude, self-discipline and the ability to put goals before own needs leads towards reaching success. An intelligent work technique along with the relentless effort will go a long way in helping to achieve the success that is desired.
One such incident which again proves the importance of hard work is one boy named Dibbay Das from Assam came alone without anything to Mumbai to be a choreographer. But due to certain things like financial problems he was not able to become one but still he did not have up as he knew the importance of hard work. And today, after working hard continuously even delivering food door to door to earn some money so that he can learn dance. And due to his hard work only he was able to make into top 10 in a dance reality show and even got few choreography chances. All these incidents are a prove to the importance of hard work.
Hard work is something which is required from all of us be it in any University, school, colleges, work place or in any other field. So all the individuals should have the trait of hard work on themselves which is absolutely necessary to live a comfortable and happy life. It makes us realise our potential, it also helps in earning more money, completing work at the given time and also provides us with a sense of satisfaction. Thus, the importance of hard work in this world, society and in everyone’s life is huge.
