Short Essay On My Favourite Teacher

We make new friends, we learn a lot and a strong foundation of our character and personality is laid during our school time. Everyone misses their school days. Our grandparents also talk about their school days and their teachers as well. We never forget our school teachers ever. In college students and teachers are not attached and communication between them rarely occurs but in school, the bond between a teacher and student is too strong.

We become so familiar with our teachers that the relation remains no less than parents and a child. School becomes our second home and teachers our parents in that second home. A good teacher moulds our personality, communicates with his/her students and also listen to their problems and we all have that one favourite teacher who we never forget, by whom we learn the most and who help us the most. We don’t hesitate to share our problems with them and to have them in our lives becomes our blessing.

Essay On My Favourite Teacher

When I first took admission in school I never liked to leave my parents and be with other children. I used to be very shy and was afraid to communicate with other children. I also used to cry and just wanted just the school bell to ring so that I can leave the school soon and be in my home soon. I hated school, but then after a few days our class teacher Miss. Veera Singh saw me and talked to me in a very friendly manner, she also gave me a few chocolates.

I felt very happy that day and she also appreciated my drawing and writing. I was very happy and I told my mom about it when I reached home. The next day I was very excited to go to school and also wanted to perform the best in my work so that I can again be appreciated by Miss Veera. I started going to school regularly and made new friends. I also kept my work up to date and when the exams came I performed very well in class.

After a year I was in class second and on the first day of our class we were excited to see who our class teacher will be. When Miss Veera came into the class I was very happy. She was our class teacher and I knew that this year is again going to be awesome. Till now I made many friends and going to school time became the best time for me.

One day there was an art exhibition in School and I also participated in it. I made a but with thermocol. When I reached the class I hit the wall and the hut was damaged a little bit. I started crying and thought people will laugh at a broken thing, but when Miss Veera came she saw me crying and asked what happened. I told her the problem and she comforted me.

She also fixed the hut and now it was like the original. When the result was declared of the exhibition I stood first and received a certificate too. It was my first certificate and my first participation in something. After this, I started participating in various extracurricular activities and received many awards. It was because of my favourite teacher that I got the confidence because If at the first time I would have lost I may have not tried again.

In class 3 also became our class teacher because no student wanted to leave her.
In class three I became ill and was not able to go to school for two weeks. A lot of work was left incomplete and I thought how will I write so much. It was like an endless task for me. After missing school for so many days when I reached school, Miss Veera asked me not to worry and that most of my work is complete because she used to give the work daily to some seniors of the school and it was an easy task for them. I was so much happy and so relieved and thanked Miss Veera several times.

She told me not to take tension and if necessary to take two-three days more leave until I am fully well. When I reached home I told my parents about it and they also called her and gave thanks to her.

She always used to take us out in the field in winters. We used to sit in the sun and study. She taught us maths, English and drawing. The whole class used to listen to her attentively and when she was absent, it had to be a boring day for us.

After class three our class teacher changed but all the students used to meet her during the lunch break. On teachers day she used to get the most gifts from students and also got the most famous teacher award. Even seniors of class eleven and twelfth used to give gifts to her and spend all the time she was surrounded by students. She was a senior teacher of the school and never forgot the name of any of her students.

When I reached class sixth shocking news reached that Miss Veera has left the school. We all were saddened and asked other teachers the reason behind it. They told them that she is now 65 years old and has to take retirement and that tomorrow she will come to school because we all are organising a farewell party for her. I went home and asked my mom why she took retirement. My mom explained to me that she must take retirement because now she needs rest and wants to spend most of her time happily with her children and family. Don’t you want her to be happy? Asked Mom. I understood that she must spend time with her family and take care of her health.

On the farewell day, the whole class and most of the children of the school gave her a very grand party. She received gifts from everyone and for the first time In my life, I have seen someone receiving so many gifts. Even our principal was sad that day and gave an emotional speech. When Miss Veera came to deliver her speech she could hardly speak and tears came out of her eyes and from ours too. She took the names of some of the students and when I heard my name I was just extremely happy and joyful. She received a big gift from the principal and also from all the faculty and every student took her photograph.

It was an exhausting day for her because no one wanted to leave her. After the grand program, I along with my friends went to meet her. She gave me a small keychain and told me to always work hard, follow the instructions of every teacher and not be shy and be confident. I asked her that can we come to her home to meet her when we will miss her and she said, I have your numbers and will surely call you from time to time. We gave her a final goodbye and there was a pin drop silence in school.

I have never received a teacher like her who was so friendly with her students and did everything for the benefit of her students. Everyone like her, she used to punish us when we did wrong and also appreciated us when we performed well.

Essay On My Favourite Teacher In English

I used to visit her from time to time. On every festival like Christmas, Diwali and also on my birthdays I used to invite her and she was just like our family members. You will always see a few students in her home daily.

Now I am in my third year of college and Miss Veera has turned old but she has not forgotten a single thing regarding me or any of her students. I am not in the city otherwise I would have visited her every month but I often talk to her on phone and she is like my grandmother. She often sends me a cake on Christmas and I send her a gift On her birthday.

She always tells me that she wants to see me too much success and I am doing my best for that. I want to achieve success and invite her to the party of my first job. Miss Veera is my favourite teacher and though I like all of my teachers and every one has taught me valuable things but Miss Veera is just like my grandmother and I haven’t been so close to any teacher.

I wish that everyone should get a teacher like her and every teacher should be like her.
