In this essay we are going to talk about the Rainy Season. Rains some way or other everyone loves rain. We all have some memories about playing in those heavy showers as kids. Hiding from mom running out of house to enjoy those cold showers. For some rain brings peace and for other it just brings mud and mosquitoes. It is all about how we perceive things.
Short Essay On Rainy Season
We all wait to get fresh mud smell after the first rain shower. That peace which rains get it throw its cold and moist wind no other season has that charm that rains has. The fresh greenery soothing the eye all around the landscape and the rebirth of streams and rivers giving life to fauna around it is just mesmerizing.
Rain not just brings joy it brings hope for the beginning for new vegetative seasons. Farmer waits for the rain like very other person waiting for their payday. That’s true we have food in our plates because of the rain bringing back life to the dried out rivers and streams. Human life revolves around nature and it has power to fulfil all human needs and wants. But our greed is never satisfied we destroy and use resources to its exhaustion. Rain is a blessing to earth that end the suffering and pain that it goes through because of human activities.
The earth is rejuvenated once again because of rain. The time of the year where poets and artist find their great escape to the splendid beauty of mother earth. The time when you can see peacock spreading his marvelous feathers to dance in rain. Those dried waterfall are now the most loved picnic spot for every person.
We all enjoy and love rain but all over the passing years we have damaged the purity of the rain too. We all know or have heard about the concept of acid rains and rain scarcities. With moving time and advancement in technology we have seen rapid increase in industrialization which has lead sudden increase in air and water pollution. We all have studied about the concept of water cycle in our schools as kids. So water gets evaporated from the earth’s surface in summer and forms the clouds in turn are the rainy clouds.
In shorts the water is polluted with chemical substances like sulphate and carbon monoxide which is not only dangerous to human beings but also very deadly to animals also. These chemicals are also the reason for causing carcinogenic diseases. So the water have these chemicals in high concentration which get evaporated with water. Later they fall on the earth surface as acid rains causing loss or damage to vegetation and also diseases among human and animals. Acid rain has also lead to wild spread of incurable diseases. We all are aware that rain water is collected or say harvested for domestic use. Imagine human and animals drinking the same water which is even dangerous for skin when came in contact.
Not only that these water get collected in ponds and lake which is used by animals and birds use for drinking. The problem doesn’t end there we all know about the existence of underground water. It is one of the most important available source of water. It is not easy to fetch but plays an important in water cycle. Rain is the reason that underground water doesn’t dry up. Water from the top surface penetrates and get collected as rain water. Underground water is what we fetch through wells and hand pumps. And we all know in India a lot of remote village population still depends on these sources. So in short people far a way from industries or even modern and developed cities and towns faces issues of health and wellness because of this.

In worst case scenario a poor farmer who worked his life off to cultivate vegetation on in land loses everything because of the chemicals present in the rain. In cities or area near industries where acid rain is major concern there are even cases of children who are born with disabilities because to exposure of acid rains. It is not just a serious health issue but also a life taking problem that this generation is going through. On brighter side government has taken measure and action to prevent its cause and effect but on a big scale this problem is a cause of concern.
We all are also aware of flood and over of dam water because of rain. This is also one of the major problem cause by human. We have made this world a concrete jungle there is no way for rain water to escape and meet underground water. Instead it get collected on land and over flows the rivers and lake. Also if rain doesn’t find the escape through sewer they drain out dirty water on streets causing water logging. No doubt why some people can dislike rainy season. It not only causes hinder in their work but also disturbs their routine by stopping various transportation. Don’t forget about muddy water splashing while you are walking peacefully on road. Yeah also the disaster you face because of forgetting umbrella can turn your day into worst.
On the bright side rain brings happiness and life. All the problems that we face are because of human actions and we are one facing the consequences to along with animals and plantation. All the problems are curable and can have solutions for at some level. So the major concern is how long we are going to ignore it. These issue are not only deadly for old and sick but also for infants and even children who are not born.
Rain also unit family and friends together through its magic. Remember getting extra day off work and day off school because of heavy shower. Doesn’t that bring the entire family together? Grandparents sharing their experiences and stories while dad and you search for perfect family movie and as usual mom in the kitchen preparing snacks for everyone. Who doesn’t love to play football in rains and push each other of muddy piles and slide down sloppy land?
